Flush one, chunk the next, and no idea why? Here's why range time is keeping you inconsistent.

It isn't effort and it isn't talent. When your swing fights the way your body moves, your body can't repeat it, so it holds up for a few shots and then falls apart. More reps don't fix that. They just practice the inconsistency.

The Practice Vault: a real coach checking your swing between lessons, for $99 a month. Your first month includes a full Online Body–Swing Review.

Why it never sticks

The lesson worked. Then it disappeared.

You've felt it. A tip clicks on the range, the ball jumps off the face, and you think finally.

Two rounds later it's gone. Scattered contact. Shots going everywhere. And a swing that still feels right while the ball tells you otherwise.

Most golfers blame themselves for that. Not enough practice. Not athletic enough. Too old, too stiff.

That's not what's happening.

Fixes fade when they fight your body. Fixes stick when they fit it.

Nearly every swing fix is built on a model swing: the positions a tour player's body can make. If your hips, shoulders or spine can't get there today, you can force it for a few good swings. Under pressure, on the course, your body quietly goes back to what it can actually do. That's the fade.

The old way

  • Copy the "right" positions
  • Or spend months training your body until it can make them
  • Good on the range, gone on the course
  • Buy another bucket. Watch another tip.

The Body–Swing Fitting way

  • Read what your body can do today
  • Build the swing around that, like fitting a club
  • Know exactly why the ball goes where it does
  • And it carries to the course, not just the range

Our students put it in their own words

"He doesn’t do generic swing coaching, but more finding the swing that fits your natural body movement."

Sam Chafe

"They don’t try and make you switch it entirely but rather work with what you are physically able to do when swinging."

Matthew Moree

"They build a golf swing that works for you."

George Hetzner

We call it Body–Swing Fitting: we find the fit between how your body moves and how you swing. A club fitter doesn't hand you a tour player's shafts. They measure your swing and build the club around it. We do the same thing to the swing itself.

Had lessons before? This isn't another one.

Most lessons teach positions. If your body can't reach those positions today, the fix fades as soon as you're back on the course. Your Body–Swing Review starts with how your body moves and builds the swing around it.

"I have gone to lessons with other instructors in the past, but felt the feedback I got was based on best guesses, not video and data."

John Eichler

"…he takes a different approach than what I have ever been taught before."

Mack Gibbs

So what you learn is something your body can actually do. Picture your next practice session: instead of chasing a position you can't reach, you're repeating a move that already feels like yours. And you can stop wondering whether you're just bad at taking lessons.

You don't need weeks of training first.

Not flexible? Not young? That's exactly who this is for. We don't need your body to change before your swing can improve. Your body screen shows us what your body can do today, and we fit the swing to that.

"After working with Golf Guru, I am carrying my irons 10-15 yards further than before. This is simply due to focusing on the proper parts of my body during my swing (no speed training)."

Michael Burdell, 5.6 handicap

So you start improving now, not after months of stretching and gym work. You could be working on your fitted changes this week, with the body you have right now. No more feeling like you're too old or too stiff for this game.

You don't have to be in the studio to find out why.

The why lives in two places: how your body moves, and how your swing moves. Both show up on video. A fitted read of your body screen and your swing tells you why the ball goes where it does, and which one or two changes fit your body. It's the same fitting process our students get in the studio, read from your videos.

"I was struggling with consistency and not knowing why one shot would be great and the next would go off course or fall short. I was never able to dial in on what was causing my inconsistency until Austin broke down the movements for me…"

Craig Slack

"I took a lesson at Golf Guru and learned I was using to much hips and not enough upper body rotation."

Matt George

So you stop guessing. Picture your next range session: a ball starts right, and you already know which part of the move caused it and what to go back to. That's the relief of finally understanding your own swing.

One honest warning.

How fast it clicks depends on the person. Some golfers feel it the first time through the sequence and take it straight to the course. For others a new move feels strange at first, and it takes a few sessions of practice before it's automatic. Either way, the sequence is yours to go back to every time it slips.

"I had a hard time implementing the change the first couple lessons, but Austin stuck with me until it started to click. Now my swing is getting more repeatable each time out."

Pete Waldo

It shows up on the course.

Range swings are the start, not the finish. The point is a strike that carries to the course.

"…he made it easy to understand where my swing needed tweaking and was able to help me make those changes very quickly. It instantly transferred to the course!"

Kiel Cashman

"After 24 hours I played nine holes and hit some balls and the concept is clear in my mind I’m able to execute it and when I do the contact and flight of my ball has already improved dramatically!"

Pat Putnam

So the gains don't stay on the range. Picture your next round: you step up on the first tee and make the swing your Effortless Swing Sequence has been building. That's the confidence of standing over the ball knowing what you're about to do. And between rounds, you can send a swing in the Practice Vault and get a coach's read on it.

You come away able to fix it yourself.

Fitting the swing is half of it. The other half is knowing what to do when it falls apart, because some days it will. So you don't get another tip. You get the reason behind your misses, and a written plan to go back to when the ball starts going the wrong way. Then you keep working it in the Practice Vault, with a coach checking your swings against that plan.

"I now know when I hit a ball that isn’t going towards the target, what I did to make it that happen and now can correct it on my own."

Ruben Flores, started lessons at 64

"The best part is, that he taught me a repeatable swing that I can tell what im doing and can self assess."

Josh Michaels

So one bad shot doesn't turn into a bad round. When it slips mid-round, you know what you did, go back to your plan, and hit the next one solid. You feel in control of your own game instead of waiting on the next tip.

And there's a reason not to wait: every bucket you hit with a swing your body can't make grooves the compensation a little deeper. Practice doesn't fix a mismatch. It locks it in.

The fastest way to a strike you can repeat, on the course and not just the range, is Body–Swing Fitting: building your swing around how your body moves today instead of forcing your body into a model swing.

What changes when your swing stops fighting your body

★★★★★ five-star reviews from our students, every one we've received since 2019. Each is from a golfer we coached in the studio, with the same fitting process your Body–Swing Review uses.

Hear it from them

The Practice Vault

Here's exactly what you get.

Your first month starts with a full Online Body–Swing Review: the fitted diagnosis. After that, every swing you send gets checked against it, as often as you practice. That's the whole idea. The review tells you what fits your body. The Vault keeps you on it.

Welcome gift: your Online Body–Swing Review

You film two short things at home on your phone. I read them together and send back a recorded breakdown and a plan, within 48 hours of getting your videos. You'll know how your body and your swing have been working against each other, which changes fit how you move, and what to practice.

1You film it at home, about 10 minutes

Your Body Screen

A short guided mobility self-screen: a few simple movements, each with instructions on how to film it. This is the part a generic swing tip skips. It shows how your hips, shoulders and spine actually move today, so every change you get is fitted to your body, not to a tour player's. So the fix is one your body can make, not one you'll force for a few swings and lose.

2Back to you within 48 hours

Your Swing Breakdown

You film your swing on your phone from two angles. I record a video breakdown of it, drawing on the screen as I go: why the ball goes where it does, how the way you move is creating your biggest misses, and the one or two changes that fit your body. No jargon. You'll finally understand why certain shots feel harder than they should, and you can watch it as many times as you like.

3Yours to keep

Your Effortless Swing Sequence

A step-by-step sequence built for how your body moves. Every golfer has a few fundamental movement gaps. This sequence fills yours in and retrains you to move from the right parts of your body, so you can find your most efficient, most effective swing. Not a drill or two: a process you go through in order, with a written plan for practicing it and an AI-written recap of your breakdown. When your swing falls apart, you know exactly what to go back to.

+Bonus

Your TPI Stretching Program

Built from your own Body Screen: for every screen you struggle with, you get a stretch that targets it, so the program is only as long as your body needs. I set it up for you in the TPI app (the Titleist Performance Institute, where I'm certified). It starts opening up the mobility your swing is missing, so the moves in your sequence get easier to make.

Every month in the Practice Vault

All of it lives in the Golf Guru app, which installs to your phone's home screen. No lesson required.

✓As often as you practice

Unlimited swing reviews from a real coach

Record a swing on your phone, upload it in the app face-on and down the line, and add a note on what you felt or what you want a read on. A coach writes back, and a review can include a drawn-on, narrated video breakdown. It isn't instant and it isn't a bot. Each swing gets checked against your Body–Swing Review, so you catch a drift before it turns into a habit.

✓Full access

The full Playbook and the Full Swing Reset

My teaching framework, written out: Full Swing, Short Game, Putting, Mental Game and Course Management. Each one has the principles, a checklist, step-by-step feel cues, on-course rehearsal and a cause-and-effect miss lookup. Plus the Full Swing Reset, a progressive practice routine for rebuilding feel between sessions. So when a shot goes wrong, you can look up why instead of guessing.

✓Resources

The resource library, including Load & Explode

Guides like a fault-to-fix cheat sheet, how to actually practice, and equipment basics, plus the Load & Explode golf workout. So your practice time goes into the right things.

✓Community

A feed of golfers working on the same thing

One shared feed to ask questions and post your swings, with likes, replies and a "win" tag for personal bests, plus points, levels, streaks and leaderboards. So you're not practicing alone.

✓Track

Your practice and your rounds, logged

Log practice sessions shot by shot (contact, strike, miss direction) and rounds (score, greens and fairways hit, putts). When the same miss keeps showing up, it points out the pattern. So you can see whether the work is carrying to the course.

✓Help between reviews

Chat with your coach, and an AI assistant built on my method

Message your coach in the app. And an AI coaching assistant grounded in my own methodology and written resources, not generic golf advice. So a question doesn't have to wait until your next swing review.

Who this isn't for: anyone chasing a perfect textbook swing. This is about the best swing your body can repeat, not a copy of someone else's.

Injuries & limitations

Playing through a bad back, a new knee, or pain you've been told to live with?

Reach out before you give up the game you love. A swing built around what your body can do today sometimes takes the stress off what hurts. Not always, but sometimes, and it's worth finding out before you hang up the clubs.

Tell us what's going on in the note you add when you send your videos, or call or text 480-568-2383 before you join. We'll be straight with you about whether we can help. If any movement in the body screen hurts, skip it and tell us. We're golf coaches, not doctors: we don't diagnose or treat injuries. If you're under a doctor's care or have been told not to swing, check with them first.

"I underwent a back procedure two years ago, which has limited my ability to play golf… after their guidance, I experienced less pain while swinging, increased my swing speed, and improved my posture."

Chris Pedroza

"Helped me after my knee replacements to get back to good golf!"

My promise, in two parts

The Fix-Your-Miss Guarantee

The biggest worry with any online program is doing the work and still not getting the result. That worry is fair: online, there's no coach standing next to you. So I take that risk on myself. This covers your welcome Online Body–Swing Review, and it's two promises you can check yourself.

1. Your breakdown shows you three things, on your own video:

  1. 1The cause of your #1 miss
  2. 2The movement gap behind it
  3. 3The sequence that fixes it

2. That miss shows up less. Work your Effortless Swing Sequence and log at least one practice session a week in Track, in the app, for 30 days. If your #1 miss isn't showing up less often in your last logged session than in your first, Track will show it, and I'll see it too.

If either promise falls short, tell me within 45 days of getting your breakdown and come into the studio in Gilbert for a 90-minute in-person session, a $375 value, at no extra charge. Track keeps the score, not me.

The only thing I ask: send clear videos, face-on and down the line with your hands in the center of the frame. I can't diagnose a swing I can't see. Bad camera angles and blurry videos get sent back. We won't review them: that would be guessing, and we don't guess.

What happens after? You're in the Practice Vault, so keep sending your swings and they get checked against your sequence. If you'd like in-person help, ask. If not, no pitch.

Questions golfers ask before joining

Is this a subscription?

Yes. The Practice Vault is $99 a month, month to month. Cancel anytime from your account, no call and no contract. Your first month includes your full Online Body–Swing Review.

What's in the Practice Vault?

Unlimited swing reviews from a real coach. The full Playbook (Full Swing, Short Game, Putting, Mental Game, Course Management) and the Full Swing Reset. The resource library, including the Load & Explode golf workout. The community feed. Track, for logging your practice and your rounds. Chat with your coach, and an AI coaching assistant grounded in my own methodology. All in the Golf Guru app, which installs to your phone's home screen.

How fast do I hear back?

Your Body–Swing Review (breakdown and Effortless Swing Sequence) comes back within 48 hours of getting your videos. After that, for the swings you send, a real coach writes back. It isn't instant and it isn't a bot.

What do I need to film?

Just a phone and a few minutes. Warm up first. Then film 3 swings with a 7-iron and 3 with a driver from each of two angles, face-on and down the line, with your hands in the center of the frame. Plus a short body screen of a few simple movements. You send it all right in the app. Bad camera angles and blurry videos get sent back to be refilmed: we don't guess.

Do I need lessons first?

No. The Practice Vault doesn't require a lesson. Your Body–Swing Review is where you start.

I'm not local. Does this work for me?

Yes. It works anywhere you can film your swing. If you're near Gilbert, your first month's $99 comes off a 90-minute in-person session if you book one within 7 days of joining.

I've had lessons before. Why would this be different?

Most lessons teach positions your body may not be able to reach. Your Body–Swing Review builds the swing around how your body moves, read from your body screen (see "Had lessons before?" above). Then every swing you send is checked against it.

I'm not flexible, and I'm not young. Is this for me?

That's exactly who it's for. We fit the swing to the body you have today, no weeks of training first.

I'm dealing with an injury or pain. Can you still help?

Sometimes, yes. Students have come to us after back surgery and knee replacements and found they could swing with less pain, because the new swing stops forcing positions their body can't make. It doesn't work for everyone, and we're golf coaches, not doctors, so we don't diagnose or treat injuries. Tell us what's going on when you send your videos, and skip any part of the body screen that hurts. We'll be honest about whether we can help. If a doctor has told you not to swing, check with them first.

What if it doesn't help?

Then I'll work with you in person. The guarantee has two parts: your breakdown shows the cause of your #1 miss, the movement gap behind it and the sequence that fixes it, on your own video; and if you work the sequence and log at least one practice session a week in Track for 30 days, that miss shows up less often in your last logged session than in your first. If either falls short, come into the studio for a 90-minute in-person session, a $375 value, at no extra charge (claim it within 45 days of getting your breakdown). The one condition: clear videos, face-on and down the line, with your hands in the center of the frame.

Next season can feel different.

You can keep grinding positions your body can't hold, and keep watching the good range sessions disappear by the weekend.

Or join the Practice Vault, and 48 hours after you send your videos you'll know exactly why the ball goes where it does, which changes fit your body, and the Effortless Swing Sequence that retrains you to make them. Then you keep sending swings, and a real coach keeps checking them against it. And if your #1 miss isn't showing up less within 30 days, I'll work with you in person, at no extra charge.

Here's what to do: tap the button, join the Practice Vault in the Golf Guru app, and send your swing and Body Screen right there. $99 a month, cancel anytime from your account.
