About Golf Guru

Meet Austin Pulczinski

The coach behind every Golf Guru session, in an indoor TrackMan studio in Gilbert.

Every Golf Guru session is coached by Austin himself. There's no handoff to a junior coach and no lesson factory. You work with the same person from your first swing to your next personal best.

Austin worked at GolfTEC for a year before starting Golf Guru, and he has been coaching golfers in the East Valley since 2019. He learned the short game from James Sieckmann and Stan Utley, and he still plays to about a +1 handicap (he got as low as +2.7 back when he was playing three to five days a week).

He's also a club fitter trained in PING's fitting method, so when your ball does something strange he can tell how much of it is the swing and how much is the equipment.

How he coaches

The swing is fitted to your body, not the other way around

Most swing fixes are built on a model swing: positions a tour player's body can make. If your hips, shoulders or spine can't get there today, you can force it for a few good swings, then it falls apart on the course.

Austin starts with how your body actually moves, then builds the swing around that, the same way a club fitter builds a club around your swing. TrackMan measures every shot, so you see the change in numbers instead of taking his word for it.

The goal is a swing you understand well enough to fix on your own when it slips, not a swing that only works while he's standing next to you.
